The week began with a beautiful Opening Ceremony in Asif Town 2, where four young women made their public promise as they entered postulancy with the Dominican Sisters of Malta. Their commitment was a profound witness to a life built on the hope of Christ, setting a prayerful and inspiring tone for the week.

The Archdiocesan Fraternity Committee, under the guidance of His Grace Benny Mario Travas, Apostolic Administrator of the Archdiocese of Lahore, organized the Annual Retreat for the diocesan clergy from 30th April to 3rd May 2025 at Arooj-e-Mariam Renewal Centre, Lahore. The retreat was preached by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Asi, centered on the theme “Believers of Hope and Heralds of Hope”, inspired by the Catholic Church’s Jubilee Year focus, “Pilgrimage of Hope.”

“Lent: A Journey Towards Vulnerability,” His Grace emphasized the call to self-examination in preparation for Easter. He highlighted two powerful Lenten symbols: *Ashes*—a sign of humility and penitence—and the *Desert*—a place of silence, self-confrontation, and encounter with God. He encouraged creating moments of solitude even in city life to deepen one’s relationship with Christ.
