On April 2, 2025, the Archdiocese of Lahore organized a Day of Prayer at Sacred Heart Cathedral under the guidance of *lHis Grace Benny Mario Travas, Apostolic Administrator of Lahore. Rev. Fr. Asif Sardar, Vicar General, welcomed all priests on behalf of His Grace Benny Mario Travas.
Reflecting on “Lent: A Journey Towards Vulnerability,” His Grace emphasized the call to self-examination in preparation for Easter. He highlighted two powerful Lenten symbols: *Ashes*—a sign of humility and penitence—and the *Desert*—a place of silence, self-confrontation, and encounter with God. He encouraged creating moments of solitude even in city life to deepen one’s relationship with Christ.
Drawing from Scripture, His Grace highlighted *how Jesus embraced the vulnerable*—the lepers, the woman caught in adultery, and the prodigal son. He pointed to *Christ’s own moment of extreme vulnerability* on the Cross: *”My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”* True transformation, he noted, comes not through power but through openness to suffering and grace.
The day included the *Sacrament of Reconciliation,* allowing priests to experience personal renewal, and concluded with a solemn *Eucharistic celebration* presided over by His Grace Benny Mario Travas, with all priests concelebrating.
