“Called by the Shepherd, Sent for Service”
Adha, Sialkot – May 11, 2025
In celebration of Good Shepherd and Vocation Sunday, the parish of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Adha, Sialkot, hosted a dynamic Vocation Camp 2025, drawing together youth, clergy, and religious communities under the theme: “Called by the Shepherd, Sent for Service.”

The camp aimed to help young Catholics discern their vocation by introducing them to the rich diversity of religious and consecrated life. A vibrant atmosphere of faith, dialogue, and inspiration marked the event, offering youth the opportunity to explore their personal call to serve the Church and society.
The day began with a welcoming display of vocations as religious orders and communities, both male and female, set up interactive stalls. Participating groups included:

- Sisters of Jesus and Mary
- Daughters of St. Paul
- Franciscan Tertiary Sisters
- Dominican Sisters of Malta
- Franciscan Missionaries of Mary
- Sisters of St. Joseph
- Sisters of Charity of Jesus and Mary
- Sisters of Charity of St. Jeanne Antide
- Capuchin Friars
- Dominican Friars
- Oblates of Mary Immaculate (OMI)

- St. Francis Xavier Seminary, Lahore
- Catechists and Lay Married Couples
Youth from various parish groups—including the Younger Brothers and Sisters of St. Francis, Daughters of Zion, and Daughters of Mary—actively engaged with representatives from each camp. Through open Q&A sessions, they learned about the spirituality, mission, and daily life of each vocation, deepening their understanding of service within the Church. Notably, several youth expressed interest in pursuing religious life and signed up for follow-up discernment opportunities—a visible fruit of the event.

The highlight of the day was the Eucharistic celebration, which began with a warm welcome for the newly ordained priests:
- Fr. Taazim Sagar
- Fr. Sajawal Saleem
- Fr. Robinson Ashiq
- Fr. Babar Shahzad, OMI

They were joined by other concelebrants, including Fr. Naqash Azam, Fr. Almas Yousuf, Fr. Clarence Hayat, and Fr. Babar Khushi. Fr. Taazim Sagar presided over the Mass, while Fr. Robinson Ashiq preached a powerful homily, urging the youth to listen for the voice of the Good Shepherd and respond with courage and generosity.
Following the liturgy, Fr. Clarence Hayat, Parish Priest of Adha, extended heartfelt thanks to all the priests, religious, lay collaborators, and parish organizations for their presence and support in making the camp a success. The day concluded with a joyful shared meal, symbolizing the unity and communion of the Church gathered in mission.
Vocation Camp 2025 stands as a testament to the living call of Christ echoed in the hearts of young people and the Church’s continued commitment to walking with them in discernment and service.
