Fifty Years of Faithful Service by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Yousaf Mani and Rev. Fr. Joseph Julius
Lahore — The Archdiocese of Lahore joyfully celebrated the Priestly Golden Jubilee (1976–2026) of Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Yousaf Mani and Rev. Fr. Joseph Julius during a solemn Thanksgiving Eucharist on 9 January 2026 at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Lahore.

The celebration was marked by a strong sign of ecclesial communion with the special presence of four bishops: His Excellency Archbishop Dr. Joseph Arshad, His Excellency Bishop Dr. Indrias Rehmat, His Excellency Bishop Samson Shukardin, and His Excellency Bishop Yousaf Sohan, who joined the priests, religious, seminarians, and faithful in honoring two lives devoted to priestly service in Pakistan.



The Holy Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Yousaf Mani, with Rev. Fr. Joseph Julius, Rev. Fr. Benjamin Joseph, and Rev. Fr. Asif Sardar, Vicar General of Lahore, concelebrating, alongside a large number of diocesan and religious priests.
In his homily, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Asi reflected concretely on the priestly journeys of both jubilarians, highlighting their five decades of faithful ministry marked by pastoral sensitivity, intellectual engagement, prophetic courage, and deep love for the Church. He recalled their long-standing service in education, social engagement, and ecclesial leadership, noting how their priesthood has remained rooted in prayer, perseverance, and commitment to the people of God, even amid challenging circumstances.

The Jubilee celebration became a profound moment of thanksgiving for lives offered generously at the service of Christ and His Church. The Archdiocese expressed heartfelt gratitude for the witness of Fr. Emmanuel Yousaf Mani and Fr. Joseph Julius, praying that the Lord may continue to bless them with peace, strength, and joy in the years ahead.
