A new chapter of hope and empowerment began in the Archdiocese of Lahore as His Grace Archbishop Benny Mario Travas, Apostolic Administrator of Lahore, blessed and inaugurated the first Good Samaritan Computer Centre on April 3, 2025, at St. Paul Church, Green Town. The initiative, led by Rev. Fr. Moris Jalal OFM Cap and his pastoral team, marks a significant step forward in equipping young people with the skills they need to thrive in today’s digital world.
Building on that momentum, the second Good Samaritan Computer Centre was officially launched on May 18, 2025, in Township, one of the key communities within the parish. The project aims to train 120 young boys and girls in digital marketing and online business, equipping them with practical skills for economic independence and personal development.
Each centre is equipped with 40 brand-new laptops (10th Gen, Intel Core i7) and follows a structured weekly schedule: classes run from Monday to Thursday, with sessions for girls from 4:00–6:00 PM and boys from 6:00–8:00 PM. Qualified instructors have been appointed, and the learning environment has been thoughtfully designed to foster focus, creativity, and growth.

The inauguration events received enthusiastic responses from students and heartfelt appreciation from parents, who see this initiative as a rare and valuable opportunity for their children to progress confidently toward a better future.
Speaking at the April inauguration, Archbishop Benny Mario Travas praised the initiative, stating:
“This is how the Church walks with its youth—by opening doors, creating opportunities, and encouraging every young person to rise and build a better future.”
Reflecting on the mission, Fr. Moris Jalal shared:

“We are not simply teaching skills, we are investing in the dignity and potential of our youth. This is about shaping and transforming lives, grounded in faith and purpose.”
The Good Samaritan Computer Centres stand as a vibrant witness to the Church’s mission in Pakistan—bringing together education, service, and hope in action.
