On May 9, 2025, Pope Leo XIV celebrated his first Mass as Supreme Pontiff in the Sistine Chapel, together with the cardinal electors and other cardinals present in Rome.
This sacred liturgy took place in the very chapel where, just a day earlier, he was elected the 267th Successor of St. Peter on the fourth ballot of the Conclave.
